PGA’s Scottie Scheffler Dropped His Master’s Champion Dinner Menu & It Looks SOLID

A tradition unlike any other is just around the corner with the Master’s Tournament.

This year’s edition of one of golf’s greatest tournaments takes place April 6th through April 9th, and it is always kicked off with an exclusive gathering: the Masters Champion’s Dinner.

How can you get a seat at the table you may ask? The only players allowed into the historic dinner are those who have been able to put on the “Green Jacket” at some point in their playing career.

Here’s the catch: all former champions of the tournament are invited to sit down to eat, but the most recent year’s winner gets to choose the menu.

Professional Golfer Scottie Scheffler (who is on a tear right now) won the Master’s tournament last year, which means all of his favorite foods will make up the selection for the dinner.

A recent picture shared by The Masters social account shows what will make up the yearly feast:

Not bad Mr. Scheffler, not bad at all…

For those not too familiar with the way the four course dinner works, the order of Scheffler’s meal is as follows:

Appetizers

-Cheeseburger Sliders (served “Scottie Style,” whatever that means)

-Firecracker Shrimp (with Sweet Thai Chili & Sriracha Mayo)

Soup

-Tortilla Soup (Avocado, Tortilla Strips, Sour Cream, Cilantro & Lime)

Main Course

-Choice of Texas Ribeye Steak or Blackened Redfish

-Served with Family Style Mac & Cheese, Jalepeño Creamed Corn (gross?), Fried Brussel Sprouts, and Seasoned Fries

Dessert

-Warm Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie (with Milk & Cookies Ice Cream)

Post Meal Recovery

-Short Game Practice on the Toilet

Pretty much an All-American meal for the former All-American college golfer at Texas (see what I did there). All joking aside though, it is a good thing they don’t serve this right before tee times start for the tournament. As good as all those dishes are by themselves, together they might lay a little heavy on the stomach in your backswing.

Many on social media are calling Scheffler’s menu the “best Masters Dinner ever,” but I believe in the saying “to each their own.” Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of every single food item he listed for the dinner and would happily shovel it down in one sitting.

They would ask me “Sir will you be having the Texas Ribeye Steak or the Blackened Redfish?” and I would simply say “Yes.”

If you wanted to compare Scottie’s Dinner to others of the past and decide if it is the “best ever,” check out this post from the Twitter account Today’s Golfer to see some of the best Masters Dinners of all time:
