Incase you haven’t heard, Tom Brady is officially hanging up his cleats after his 23-year career in the NFL.
Over that time period, we saw the quarterback wrack up seven Super Bowls between his time with the New England Patriots, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while also breaking just about every record imaginable for a quarterback.
Needless to say, it’s been one helluva ride for the 45-year-old.
He shared this message to social media:
“I’ll get to the point right away… I’m retiring for good.
I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first.
I won’t be long-winded, you only get one super emotional essay and I used mine up last year.
Thank you guys so much, to every single one of you for supporting me… my family, my friends, my teammates, competitors… thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream, I wouldn’t change a thing.
I love you all.”
However, his decision to come back out of retirement this past season definitely may have cost him more than he could’ve imagined.
Before the 2022 season kicked off, it was reported that Brady’s longtime wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, was furious over his decision to come back out of retirement, after he allegedly promised her that he would be done, and focus on his family.
But, Brady decided to come back, and things took a turn for the worse as the two ultimately filed for divorce over the decision.
Now, Gisele is reportedly dating her and Tom’s son’s jiujitsu trainer, and Tom is rumored to be dating 26-year-old Slovakian model Veronika Rajek (although that has never been confirmed and she seems to be married).
So, as you can imagine, tons of people are scratching their heads about Brady’s reasoning to come back this season, and wondering if it was really worth losing his whole family over.
