Travis Kelce’s Message For Cincinnati Mayor: “Know Your Role & Shut Your Mouth… You Jabroni”

Last night, I think I witnessed the most frustrating close NFL playoff game of my life.

With only seconds left on the game clock, the Kansas City Chiefs found themselves in Cincinnati Bengals territory, flirting with field goal range.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes scrambled to his right and gained a handful of yards, but was shoved to the ground by Bengals defensive end Joseph Ossai after he had already stepped out of bounds, leading to a 15-yard penalty against the Bengals, and ultimately putting the Chiefs into field goal range.

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker then proceeded to drill a 45-yard field goal to win the game 23-20.

You always hate to see a game pretty much get iced on a penalty, especially when it’s the AFC Championship game, and winner goes to the Super Bowl.

But, do the Chiefs give a damn about how they won the game?

ABSOLUTELY not.

They finally beat the Bengals for the first time in Joe Burrow’s career, and nobody could’ve been happier last night than Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.

Especially after the Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval gave the Chiefs more than enough bulletin board material:

After the game was over, Mahomes was doing his postgame on-field interview, when all of a sudden Kelce crashed the party, and you could hear him say:

“Burrowhead my ass. WOO. It’s Mahomes’ house.”

Of course, he was referring to all of the talk from Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval going into the game about how Bengals quarterback Burrow has owned the Chiefs in his short career, even at their home of Arrowhead Stadium, and they were finally able to quiet the naysayers last night.

But Kelce’s trash talk didn’t end there.

He said during the trophy ceremony shortly after, calling out mayor Pureval for his “Burrowhead” comments:

“How about this beautiful trophy. Huh? Hey I’ve got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor: know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni!”

Never change, Travis. Never change… I think he might have a career in the WWE ready when he’s ready to quit playing football.

And one more for the road…
