It’s open season on idiots at Yellowstone these days.
We saw a 9-year-old girl get air mailed (she was fine though) after her parents got too close (way to go dad), and even more recently, we saw an elderly lady get gored at Yellowstone after she tried to pet a bison, yes PET A BISON.
It should go without saying, but don’t try and put a bison people…
Anyways… now we have another lady who barely escaped, in fact… tripping over her own feet might’ve saved her life.
A unnamed woman was touring Yellowstone National Park and found herself running for her life when she got too close to a charging bison. She tripped, fell flat on her face, and then played dead. The charging bison pumped the brakes right before running her clean over.
According to KBZK, the woman was a “Montana local” and knew that she should “play dead,” but I have to ask… if you know to “play dead” when a bison tries to smash you like a bug, then how come you don’t know to stay the hell away from them?
Like, ya know?
I mean, here’s the bison warning from Yellowstone right now…
Basically, keep your distance from moose, stay WAY the hell away from bears, and Bison? Don’t even think about it…
And yet somehow, we have a new story every day with some bozo wandering right up to the herd to get a pic for the ‘Gram.

Yellowstone National Park has to be home of the dumbest tourists around.
This one is extra dumb in my books though.
It shows a woman approaching a fully-grown bison who is just minding his own business sitting in some grass. She goes out of her way to approach it.
She gets up to the animal and starts to take selfies and that’s when things start to go wrong. The bison charges her and you can sense the fear through the video. She side steps him and gets clear but then falls to the ground in the chase.
This is the part that gets me.
She stands up and realizes the bison is no longer charging, so instead of making way for safer ground, she pulls her cellphone back out to get a few more quick pictures…
You just almost got run over by a bison and you think it’s a good idea to get more pictures? Is getting gored by a bison really worth those 12 likes you’re gonna get on Instagram?
I guess so…
Bison Charges Biker At Custer State Park
Here we go again…
I’m not exactly sure what people think they’re approaching when they walk up to a bison, but these aren’t docile dairy cows. They’re nearly 2,000 lb trucks with horns on them that think nothing of running you clean into the ground if you get too close.
And yet, we now have ANOTHER video of woman getting railroaded by a bison in South Dakota.
According to New York Post, the woman (and her group of motorcyclists) were riding through Custer State Park in South Dakota, when they stopped to get a picture of a the herd.
The women (like an idiot) approached a bison calf and naturally mama bison did what protective parents do when strangers approach their children… she attacked.
The woman narrowly missed a goring as the horn caught the belt loop on her pants… you imagine what happened next.
Yup, mama bison swung her around like a rag doll until her pants came off, and she wound up laying on the side of the road, pantsless and unconscious.
She was airlifted to a local hospital with a concussion, however she is expected to recover.
The good news though? They recovered her pants from the bison…
Bison do not like bikers though.
