Incase ya haven’t heard, it’s gonna be a hot minute before we see the rest of Yellowstone season five.
And when I say a hot minute, I mean next summer to finish the second half of the season.
Of course, we always knew that the season was getting split up into halves, but summer? Are you kidding?
But speaking of the last episode of season five, which aired last night, it was a bit… underwhelming, to say the least.
Especially for the ending of a half season that we’re gonna have to wait a long-ass time to finish out.
In episode eight, “A Knife And No Coin,” Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) made a push against his own father for impeachment, and Beth (Kelly Reilly) also found out about the train station, which completely ruined her blackmail plan.
Now, Beth and Jamie’s hatred for each other has been fueled even more, and it appears that it won’t end until one of them is dead.
We also got to see Jimmy at 6666 Ranch for the first time this entire season, and could be a possible elusion to the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff series about the 6666 Ranch.
And aside from the frustration from Yellowstone fans for the long wait for the second half of season five, fans were equally as pissed about how bad of an ending it was.
Needless to say, they lit Twitter up:
Truthfully, at this point, I say we take the land ourselves so we can put this suffering show out of its misery. Seasons 1-3 were amazing!! But now it’s hard to sit through an entire episode. Boring & pointless. Tonight was anticlimactic.

Thanks for laying an egg on the mid season finale.. I think Taylor is ruining one of the best show ever by trying to cash in on so many spin-off shows. Dude needs to focus on his best show and leave the other for later. It’s dragging and everyone knows it.

This sucked! The weakest ending ever.

These mid-season finales and long ass breaks just to see the whole season SUCK.

Plot lines have gotten pretty lame.
Time to sunset this series.— John Anthony (@jburroughsa) January 2, 2023
Disappointed with tonight’s ending. It didn’t leave you hanging. And now we wait till summer.

I guess we’ll see if Taylor Sheridan and company can right the ship int he second half of the season… which won’t be here until summer.
