There ain’t nothin’ creepy about this song… it’s just scary good.

Koe Wetzel just dropped the second single “Creeps,” from his forthcoming studio album Hell Paso, and it’s my favorite release from him in a while… it’s also been a while since he has released anything, but you get the point.

He previously noted that this record leans much more heavily into that signature alternative, southern rock sound we all love from him, and with these two singles out now, I definitely think they fall in line with that description and I’m really excited to hear the rest of the record.

And like I always say, he has some of the best music videos in the genre, and this is no exception. You see Koe taking out zombies left and right, and winds up saving a girl who’s being attacked… but you’ll have to watch it to the end to find out what happens for yourself.

Koe also said on a recent episode of the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast that it was inspired by The Walking Dead and all the zombie action on that show, and he came up with the concept and had help from director Patrick Tohill and the rest of his team to bring it to life when they filmed it in Nashville.

As far as the song itself goes, it sounds great, and I already know I’m going to have it on repeat for the foreseeable future.

He’s teased it a good bit over the last few weeks, and I’m not kidding when I say I’ve had the chorus stuck in my head ever since.

It’s always a good day when we get new music from Koe, and if you wanna see Koe the zombie slayer in action, make sure you check out the creepy new video:

I think it’s safe to say, at this point, we’re (hopefully) inching closer to the official release of KW5 by the day.

Koe dropped the lead single to Hell Paso, “April Showers,” back in April:
