Yellowstone: John Dutton’s Best Dad Moments

Kevin Costner Yellowstone

John Dutton… patriarch of the Dutton family, owner of the enormous Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, and all around badass.

“A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, John Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. He operates in a corrupt world where politicians are compromised by influential oil and lumber corporations and land grabs make developers billions.

Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect, Dutton’s property is in constant conflict with those it borders — an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.”

Portrayed by the great Kevin Costner, John Dutton has become one of the biggest characters in modern-day television and when he’s not protecting his empire and running the ranch, he’s trying to manage his family.

Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) is a firecracker, Jamie (Wes Bentley) is desperate to win his father’s approval (until he finds out he isn’t his father), Kayce (Luke Grimes) is torn between his family and the ranch, and then there’s grandson Tate… who is caught in the crossfire of all of it.

However, despite being a tough as nails rancher, an old-school, no nonsense cowboy hell bent on preserving his empire and his legacy, despite the cost… he’s still a dad at heart.

Wisdom, discipline, affection… we see it all from the great John Dutton, and thanks to Peacock, we have some of John’s best dad moments all wrapped into one montage video.

This other one, titled “Life According To John Dutton,” is essentially a highlight reel for Yellowstone patriarch, chock-full of his greatest one liners, wise words, and even a few tenderhearted moments.

It just might be the greatest playlist ever created in the history of sound…
