Marcus King Drops Groovy New “Lie Lie Lie,” The Third Single From His Upcoming Album

Marcus King has done it again.

King just released the, “Lie Lie Lie,” the third single from his upcoming album Young Blood, and it is a must listen for any fan of soulful southern rock and all around good music.

The riff heavy tune features an absolutely electric solo right in the middle as King takes a break from providing his soulful vocals that fit this breakup song so perfectly.

In a press release, King had this to say about the new track:

“‘Lie Lie Lie’ for me captures the spirit of this record. You can feel how natural the vibe was in the studio. This track showcases each player’s energy, it shines a light on the production and the sound of Easy Eye Sound.

At the two-and-a-half-minute mark the band locks into a groove that becomes a sonic representation of why I do what I do! I LIVE for that feeling!”

King, a Greenville SC native, is set to release Young Blood on August 26th as his fifth studio album. And if “Hard Working Man,” “Rescue Me,” and “Lie Lie Lie,” are any indication, it is going to be his best work yet.

Drawing elements of influence from several genres including blues, rock, and country, King’s unique sound is a refreshing blast from the past that features the dynamic combination of soulful vocals reminiscent of Marvin Gaye and the guitar chops of a new age BB King.

Marcus King has something special going on, and it is blatantly apparent in his latest single “Lie Lie Lie.” Go check it out, and get ready for the release of his momentous upcoming album Young Blood.

And if you missed the lead single from the album, check out “Hard Working Man” too.
