Carly Pearce And Ashley McBryde Join LeAnn Rimes For Stunning Rendition Of Her ’90s Hit “One Way Ticket (Because I Can)”

I am SO here for this.

You can’t possibly name a better trio than Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce and LeAnn Rimes, and they’re joining forces in just a few weeks for a CMT Crossroads special, LeAnn Rimes & Friends.

It will premiere on April 14th, a day prior to the CMT Music Awards, as part of a celebration for the 25th anniversary of her iconic 1996 debut studio album Blue. That record was released when she was just 13 years old, if you can believe it, and Mickey Guyton and Brandy Clark will also be part of the collaboration.

Today, we’re getting at taste of what’s to come on the 90-minute show with a new performance video of Ashley, Carly and LeAnn singing LeAnn’s 1996 hit, “One Way Ticket (Because I Can)”.

Written by Judy Rodman and Keith Hinton, “One Way Ticket” was originally included as the third single from Blue, eventually peaking at #1 on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Songs chart, making her only the fourth teenaged country music artist to score a #1 on that chart.

It’s also her only #1 hit to date, which is completely mind-blowing… and wrong.

LeAnn told People that she’s excited to commemorate her 25-year career in country music, especially with the incredible aforementioned ladies joining her for the special occasion:

“It was such a magical and surreal experience, celebrating the past 25 years of my music as a full installment of CMT Crossroads.

And to share the stage with women who are each, so unique and truly standing in their own magnificence, to get to hear firsthand how I have, in some special way, influenced their artistry… it was humbling and special.”

This video will give you chills, and I swear, these three ladies could sing just about any artist on the planet under the table:
