There’s been quite a bit of chatter on the interwebs lately about Tyler Childers’ live performances.
Folks bitching that he isn’t playing their favorite songs, other complaining that he doesn’t sound the same, some even going as far to question as to whether or not his sobriety is bad for his music (fuck outta here with that noise).
After watching his Farm Aid performance last night, I won’t stand for none of that Tyler Childers slander in my comments section… the dude brought the whole damn house down.
Live from Hartford, Connecticut, Farm Aid 2021 was underway last night, featuring performances from Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews, as well as sets from Tyler Childers, Margo Price, Jamey Johnson and more, the annual Farm Aid concert works to raise money for farming communities across the country.
And according to Willie Nelson, the pandemic has proven that now, more than ever, we need community.
“The experience of the past 18 months has reminded us how much we need each other. I’m so glad that music is bringing us all back together at Farm Aid 2021 to celebrate family farmers.
When we combine music, family farmers and good food, we have the power to grow the kind of agriculture that strengthens all of us.”
