Tim McGraw & Midland Team Up For Cover Of The Bellamy Brothers’ “Redneck Girl”

Taking back to 1982…. and they brought the synths.

Tim McGraw is gearing up for another “greatest hits” record, and he’s making the announcement with a brand new cover of The Bellamy Brothers’ “Redneck Girl,” featuring the fellas from Midland.

Titled McGraw Machine Hits: 2013-2019, the new album will feature a collection of hits from McGraw’s time at Big Machine.

“Every now and then you want to go back and hear a collection of songs exactly like you remember them. Even to go re-record doesn’t feel right because there’s something magical about what happened there when it happened.”

“Redneck Girl,” written by David Bellamy, was released as the lead single from The Bellamy Brothers 1982 album, Strong Weakness. Blake Shelton also covered the song in 2007 for The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, soundtrack.
