“Picture Looks Like A VeggieTales Character” – Nashville Security Guard Hilariously Roasts A Dude Trying To Get Into Broadway Bar With A Fake ID

Gotta do better than that.

I know fake IDs are pretty much a rite of passage for college kids under the age of 21. Honestly though I feel like I missed out on the experience of having one because to be honest, I never needed one to get into the bars or to drink in my college town. We knew which bars we could go to that would mark your hand and still serve you (RIP to Stumblers in Huntington, WV), and we knew which gas stations didn’t check IDs. Never really needed a fake, so I don’t have any experience with them.

One thing I do know is that the business of fake IDs has got even more sophisticated since I was at the age where I would have needed one. You used to have to know somebody who knew somebody who could get you one, and you would give them some cash and wait around just hoping that it was convincing enough to pass for the real thing.

Nowadays there are shady overseas websites that print fakes that are nearly indistinguishable from the real thing.

Note I said “nearly” indistinguishable.

Of course good bartenders and security guards know exactly what to look for to spot a fake ID. And there’s no doubt that the bouncers in downtown Nashville have seen every possible mistake when it comes to tourists trying to pass off their fakes. You’ve gotta think they’re pretty good at spotting them by now, especially in a town where EVERYONE is ID’d regardless of their age.

Well one security guard at a downtown Nashville bar has started a TikTok channel showing his experience working the door of a popular bar on Broadway – and as you can imagine, it seems that he sees a lot of fake IDs.

Aaron Floyd works the door at Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville and shares some of the best interactions he has with customers. And it seems like he’s become a pro at not only spotting fakes, but also roasting people who try to pass them off and get into the bar.

Like this guy, whose fake ID apparently made him look like a VeggieTales character:

@aaronfloyd.45 I’m just telling you the way I see it😂🤣 #happydad #broadwaynashville #securityguard #tennessee #reels ♬ original sound – Aaron Floyd

Or this one, who looked more like an alien.

@aaronfloyd.45 Quick to respond “Why not?”😂🤣 #securityguard #broadwaynashville #tennessee #happydad #reels ♬ original sound – Aaron Floyd

Then you have this poor kid, who would have a hard time passing off their fake at an establishment for children…

@aaronfloyd.45 Dave and Busters gets them everytime🤣😂 #broadwaynashville #securityguard #tennessee #reels #happydad ♬ original sound – Aaron Floyd

Luckily for these partiers, our guy will also take the time to explain what’s wrong with their ID so maybe they can get it fixed for the next time:

@aaronfloyd.45 Gotta be honest, these were horrible ID’s😂🤣 #broadwaynashville #tennessee #happydad #reels #securityguard ♬ original sound – Aaron Floyd

That’s funny stuff.

Of course not all of his interactions are spotting fakes. He also likes to give Dallas Cowboys fans a hard time, which I’m also here for.

@aaronfloyd.45 Giving Dallas fans a hard time is so easy😂 #securityguard #broadwaynashville #happydad #nashville #tennessee ♬ original sound – Aaron Floyd

Honestly, we hear a lot about security guards at Broadway bars who take their jobs way too seriously, so it’s nice to see somebody out there having fun with it.

Just be warned, if you’re trying to get into Jelly Roll’s with a fake, it better be a good one.
