Just a warning, if you have a weak stomach, don’t look at the pictures of this one.

The SEC Basketball Tournament has been taking place here in Nashville this week, and today Florida and Auburn met in the championship game of what’s already been a crazy tournament.

The Gators knocked out Georgia, Alabama and Texas A&M to clinch their spot in the finals against the Tigers. But just minutes into the game, one of their players was stretchered off the court after a gruesome injury.

Center Micah Handlogten, a sophomore in his first year with the Gators after transferring from Marshall this past offseason, was going up for a rebound when he landed awkwardly and appeared to break his leg on the way down.

And although I say “appeared” to break his leg, it’s pretty clear that’s what happened. You could hear the bone snap on television, and video of the injury showed the bone poking through the skin.

Like I said, if you have a weak stomach, don’t watch this one.

Trainers and medical personnel immediately rushed to Handlogten’s side after the injury, and players from both teams were seen comforting each other and the injured Gator as he was loaded onto a stretcher to be taken out of Bridgestone Arena.

Just terrible. Prayers for a quick recovery, and that the injury isn’t as bad as it appears.

One more warning: Stop scrolling if you don’t want to see photos of the injury.
