Real Estate Agent Asks Internet For Ideas On How To Use This Weird & Useless “Landing,” & They Didn’t Disappoint

Sometimes social media is simply the best.

I’d be interested to know how many people actually have a strange feature in their home like this one that’s currently going viral. A post on X (formerly Twitter) has garnered over 15 million views as it has unintentionally sparked a flurry of creative problem solving amongst social media users.

The post features a picture of a relatively inaccessible “landing” feature located in a suburban home, and has the caption:

“One of my least-liked design elements of suburban design is this inaccessible landing I see in foyers. Any creative solutions for ‘staging’ it out there?”

When that man asked that question, I don’t think he realized what he was getting himself into.

Social media started doing its thing, which if you didn’t know, is replying with memes and photoshopped pictures of what could fill that empty space.

Though there were some interior designers that offered up actual, legitimate ideas for decorations, most of the reply section was filled with outlandish ideas from the “memesters” that are always out there in the shadows waiting to strike.
