Looks like there are even “pool days” in the animal kingdom.
We don’t know if it was an impromptu trip to the pool, or if this mother deer and her fawn frequent the pool, but all that matters is that the little baby deer was having the time of its life. It’s the simple things in life that usually bring us the most joy, and this ankle deep body of water was certainly doing the trick for this fawn.
And the mother deer wasn’t letting the fawn have all of the fun. It looks like the doe was chowing down on some grass as she acted as the lifeguard for the front yard kiddie pool, so it wasn’t a total loss for her.
The only thing that would have made the video better is if the fawn would have utilized the child-sized Adirondack chairs that were sitting around the small pool. THAT would have made this the best deer video of all time.

I’ve got a feeling that they will probably be back to that pool a lot. Parents love taking their kids to places that wear them out, so the mother deer will surely remember how useful that kiddie pool can be.
