It’s no secret that the best rookie quarterback this season has been former Ohio State and current Houston Texans QB CJ Stroud.
The guy has been absolutely lighting it up this season, leading the Texans to a 5-4 record thus far after only winning three games in 2022.
If you’ve watched any of the Texans this year, it’s easy to see that the NFL game is slowing down a lot quicker for Stroud than it has for any other rookie quarterback in the league, as he’s thrown for 15 touchdowns and only two interceptions.
And Stroud recently made an appearance on Tom Brady’s Let’s Go podcast to talk about the transition from college to the NFL.
While on the podcast, Stroud and Brady talked about what the adjustment from college to the NFL has been like, and just kicked it around and talked about life in general.
They also talked about the upcoming massive rivalry game between the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and considering Brady played at Michigan and Stroud played at Ohio State, there was some trash talk.
That’s when Brady made a hilarious bet with Stroud, saying:
“If Ohio State wins… You get one of my Super Bowl rings. If Michigan (wins) then you give me all your youth, your agility, your time in the 40 and all your future years in the NFL.”
Stroud simply responded:
“That’s a bet.”
I feel like this is a real life football version of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” I mean c’mon, Stroud’s physical ability literally lies in the hands of Ohio State beating Michigan.
But in all seriousness, it was a hilarious bet from the GOAT himself.
