This is my kinda fundraiser.
Mrs. Miranda Lambert celebrated her 40th birthday over the weekend, and in addition to having a big bash to celebrate the occasion, she also used it as an opportunity for good to help animals in the Nashville area.
Her bar on Broadway in downtown Music City, Casa Rosa, hosted a pop-up boot sale with over 70 pairs of Miranda’s own boots from her closet (though many of them looked to still have tags on, so they’re brand spankin’ new), and I’ll be honest, I almost high-tailed it over there from North Carolina.
There were some gorgeous boots on sale, and in total, they raised over $7,000 for Metro Animal Care & Control.
Miranda says she wanted to do something fun on her birthday that would also aid her Mutt Nation foundation, and I’d say she certainly accomplished her goal:
“I wanted to do something fun on my birthday that also helped the pups, and this was an opportunity for my boot-loving, mutt-loving fans to get something great and give something great at the same time.
MACC is the only open intake shelter in Nashville and MuttNation is proud to support them. So if you’re looking to adopt or foster, remember to check out the great pets at MACC, or visit your local shelter.”
And if you haven’t been to Casa Rosa yet, I highly recommend it… everything is pink and it’s unlike any other bar on Broadway because it’s definitely geared towards the ladies:
And also, it looks like she had a helluva party yesterday, with her Texas pals Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers performing for everyone there:
Her boot cake might also be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen…
