Seems like Dr. Fauci is doing just fine in his retirement.

Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, became a central figure during the COVID pandemic with his regular appearances at press briefings, his back and forth on the effectiveness of masks, and his consistent push and defense for social distancing and lockdown measures.

Fauci retired in 2022, after serving as the head of the NIAID since 1984. But it seems that the 82-year old doctor isn’t spending his retirement relaxing out on a beach somewhere.

The St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation is Ontario, Canada recently announced “An Evening With Dr. Fauci,” a high-dollar event with individual tickets starting at $300 and presenting sponsorships going for $50,000.

But the good news for Fauci fans is that for a mere $10,000, you and three of your friends can actually meet the man behind the masks and get your picture taken with Fauci, along with admission to a VIP reception.

Seriously, who’s paying that?

There’s no word on whether attendees will be forced to stand 6 feet apart in their photo with Fauci. But there are several different levels available, I guess depending on how bad you really want to hear Fauci talk about – whatever he’ll be talking about. And if you’re not interested in a photo with Fauci, a corporate table for 10 will only set you back $7,500.

Apparently Fauci’s parlaying his pandemic fame into quite the lucrative speaking gig post-retirement.
