I’ve never related to a bear so much in my life.
Humans and animals having two distinctly different means of communication, yet somehow you can tell exactly what this bear in the video is thinking and feeling. It’s that common ground that has led Chada the bear, who lives at the White Rock Bear Sanctuary in Ukraine, to steal the heart of the internet.
This bear looks like many different things. If you don’t understand what I mean by that, maybe just listing off some of the things that it looks like will help:
-This bear looks like it just took a 5 hour nap when it was planning to take one for 30 minutes
-This bear looks like it had one too many rum and cokes last night and is paying the price for it
-This bear looks like it accidentally “Freaky Friday-ed” with another animal/person and is being a bear for the very first time
-This bear looks like it’s not even a bear
And building on that last point, it turns out that this is a Himalayan bear, which is a subspecies of a brown bear. It’s distinct look and lighter color allows it to be differentiated from other bears.
I could have told you it was a Himalayan bear from the get go, just based on the fact that we saw him-a-layin down, then saw him-a-standin later on in the video (thanks, I’ll be here all week).
The internet can’t get over how perplexed and out of sorts this bear looks, and you’ll see why in a second. You almost feel for it as you watch it climb out of its den, and the caption did its best to explain the situation:
“This is me starting the work week. Good morning. We’re all like Chada on Monday.”
Alright, I guess the caption didn’t help to clear that much up, but it did add to the “looks like” list that we had going up above.

TikTok users fell in love with Chada the bear, and voiced that many of them have felt exactly how this bear is feeling in this video. The jokes were plentiful in the comments, and they were all in good fun:
“Buddy had one of those naps where you wake up hot and sweaty and can’t tell what year it is.”
“He looks like someone drew a bear from memory.”
“Actual footage of me getting up in the morning.”
“When you wake up thinking you missed the school bus but it’s Saturday and you’re 50yrs old.”
“Bro been asleep for 378 years. Welcome back man.”
God bless Chada. Somebody get that bear a cup of coffee, or whatever the bear equivalent is…
