Jelly Roll continues to have an absolutely incredible year.
His most recent country album Whitsitt Chapel was released back in June, and the hype leading up to it paid off. Country music fans loved the project, and praised the authenticity of both the album and the artist behind it.
Since its release, Jelly has been busy on his Backroad Baptism Tour, and has kept fans updated along the way with plenty of behind-the-scenes videos. One of those insights included a hilarious clip of him visiting a Walmart to buy his album (again), and this time, they actually had it.
Jelly Roll still has plenty of stops to hit along the way for his tour, and in between the scheduled stops, he also found some time to join The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night.
The genre-bending artist was pumped to make his Tonight Show debut, and even shared this post the morning after his appearance on the famous NBC program:
“Things I started to believe would never happen have been happening. What a wild ride… Jimmy Fallon and Jelly.”

Jelly Roll has always comfortably and unapologetically been himself, so it’s no surprise that he was over-the-top grateful for being able to grace the stage of the Tonight Show.
The rapper-turned-country-singer decided to hit the audience with a performance of Whitsitt Chapel’s first song “Halfway to Hell.” The track is high-energy, which probably perfectly matched how he was feeling about being on the show.
The Tonight Show posted the video of his performance to their YouTube account shortly after it aired on TV, and in the comments section, Jelly Roll himself left a message saying:
“What an incredible experience this was- thank you Jimmy Fallon for having me — this was unreal.”
As always, Jelly Roll gave it his all in the performance of “Halfway to Hell” on the Tonight Show stage:
