That is not an animal you want to be running into. Not that you want to run into any animal…
Elk are massive, the second largest members of the deer family, weighing up to 1,000 pounds. These are some of the largest animals around.
On top of their impressive size, bull elk grow massive antlers that can grow up to 6 feet long with multiple sharp points coming off of them.
Basically, this is one of the last animals you want to run into at a high speed with anything, let alone a dirt bike.
This fella had the misfortune of having that happen to him right before his eyes.
As he is ripping along a trail somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, a bull elk is seen running out of the ditch and across right in front of him.
The man cuts but still nails the back end of the elk sending him flying down through the woods. He lays there and moans as he gathers himself back up to be seemingly okay.
The biker hilariously captioned the video:
“Hit an elk on dirt bike, skydiving is safer.”
Fair enough.
