When you think of the top three artists in mainstream country music, which names immediately come to mind?
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Zach Bryan are three of the biggest names in country music on the planet right now, and aren’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Combs has been a staple of mainstream country for the past five or six years. Wallen has more recently become a record-setting superstar, and Bryan has been on a rocket to the moon since fans discovered his videos on YouTube… and all three continue to see a rise in popularity.
Even outside of the country music world.
Spotify released their “Songs of the Summer (2023)” playlist, and as you can imagine, Combs, Wallen, and Bryan were all featured on there, with Morgan landing 3 songs on the 20-song list… more than any other artist.
Combs’ smash hit cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” made the list at number six, and three of Wallen’s songs found itself in the 20 song list, with “Last Night” at number 1, “You Proof” at number 10, and “Wasted On You” at number 17. Zach Bryan’s “Something in the Orange” made the list at number 15.
Taylor Swift also had a couple of songs make the list as well, including “Cruel Summer” at number three, and “Anti-Hero” at number 20.
We’ve seen country music continue to grow this year, and from this list, it looks like it won’t be slowing down anytime soon. You could make the argument that these three country music stars are some of the biggest acts in all of music right now.
