Sad day for Timmy Tyler fans that had tickets to this show.

Tyler Childers took to Twitter to inform fans that his show for tomorrow, August 10th, in Philadelphia is canceled due illness.

“Dear Philadelphia- due to an illness within the touring party, we have to reschedule tomorrow’s (August 10th) show at The Met.

Because of venue availability, the new date will take place at the Mann on September 10th. Ticketholders will automatically receive a refund and will also have first access to the presale for the new show.

Please standby for an email soon with further details and a unique code.”

While the good news is that the turnaround for the new date is pretty quick, the bad news is that fans have to go through the presale and ticket-buying process again due to the complete venue change.

While ticket-buying can be highly stressful these days (thank you, Ticketmaster), for fans that cannot attend the new date, the automatic refund is an easy way to get your money back without jumping through hoops, plus they get pre-sale access to the new date.

While I expected there to be many fan comments disappointed with the sudden reschedule, many of them were actually commenting on the quality of the graphic posts that Childers puts together for announcements like these… indeed a beautiful way to share some bad news.

Only one month till these Philadelphia fans get to enjoy the out-of-body experience that is Tyler Childers live.
