Earlier this year, we were all waiting on the edge of our seats to hear about where former star Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would end up.
And finally, after a few ayahuasca trips and a four day “darkness retreat,” Rodgers finally announced that he was leaving Green Bay and heading to the New York Jets.
It was huge news for the Jets, considering they were a legitimate potential playoff team last year, and all they lacked was consistent quarterback play…
And now they have it with Rodgers, one of the best QBs in the league.
And if Jets fans were having any doubt if the QB was loving his time in New York, y’all can take a deep breath, because it appears Rodgers won’t be leaving anytime soon.
According to ESPN, Rodgers spoke with the media earlier this week and said:
“This is going to be a few-years partnership. (The deal is) a win-win-win for everybody. A win for me — I get paid a ton of money.
A win for the team — we get a low cap number and deferred some cash. A win for other guys that we can bring in and sign. I have no complaints. I’m not missing it at all.”
On top of that, the guy is also passing up on $35 million to play for this team, so that should already be a great sign that he’s content with where he’s at.
Needless to say, this is a great sign for Jets fans everywhere.
