New music from the Turnpike Troubadours is coming very soon.

They just announced over on Instagram that the third single from their forthcoming album A Cat in the Rain, a song called “Brought Me,” will be out everywhere this Friday, August 4th:

“‘Brought Me’ – the 3rd single – ‘A Cat in the Rain.’ Out this Friday August 4th on music streaming platforms.”

It will be a great Friday, indeed…

They’ve already put out two other songs from the tracklist, “Mean Old Sun” and “Chipping Mill” with the latter actually being their new single at country radio.

Set to be released on August 25th via their own Bossier City Records label, A Cat in the Rain will be the Turnpike Troubadours’ first record since 2017’s A Long Way from Your Heart.

The new album was produced by Shooter Jennings, and recorded at Muscle Shoals’ Fame Recording Studios, as well as Dave’s Room in Los Angeles, California, and given the circumstances, is easily one of the most heavily anticipated records of 2023.
