Early this morning, the U.S. Women’s National Team advanced one step closer to the World Cup title after tying Portugal 0-0.

It wasn’t pretty at all, and if it hadn’t been for a favorable kick off the goalpost, the United States could’ve easily been heading home.

Nevertheless, the team has a chance to win their third straight title, and I guess at the end of the day that’s all that matters.

After the game, the team was shown taking selfies and going wild with fans, and also dancing and celebrating as if they had just dominated Portugal.

But one former U.S. soccer star wasn’t too thrilled with the team’s celebrations after the game…

And it was none other than the great Carli Lloyd.

While on Fox Sports, Lloyd was pretty blunt about her feelings regarding the celebrations:

“Just seeing these images for the first time on the desk right now, I have never witnessed something like that.

There’s a difference between being respectful of the fans and saying hello to your family, but to be dancing, to be smiling… I mean the player of the match was that post. You’re lucky to not be going home right now.”

She also said:

“There’s a difference between confidence and arrogance, and I think there’s a fine line with where’s the direction going with that.

It’s okay to be confident, but you never want to cross that line of being arrogant, and this is exactly what can come and bite you.”

Needless to say, Lloyd is less than thrilled with the her former team’s reaction to the near upset.
