Horrible news coming out of the football world this morning.

According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, Buffalo Bills running back Nyheim Hines was sitting on a jet ski when it was struck by another rider.

Fortunately, his injuries aren’t life threatening, but he will require knee surgery and is expected to miss the entire 2023 NFL season.

Hines was expected to be the top kick returner for the defending AFC East champions and top Super Bowl contenders, as well as join the mix of running backs James Cook, Damien Harris, and Latavius Murry out of the backfield.

While Hines has long been known in the league as a great pass catcher with big play potential, he will forever be remembered by fans for what he did in the Bills first game after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field, taking the opening kickoff to the house, leading to a 35-23 victory over their division rivals Patriots.

Absolutely terrible news for the 26 year old.

Sending prayers that he can heal up quick and get back on the field next season, but mainly that he’ll be okay for the rest of his life.
