Over the past few years, college football fans have been dying for a documentary about the 2006-2009 Florida Gators program.
How could we not? Under head coach Urban Meyer (Who we all know got into some trouble during his lone year as head football coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars), and arguably the most diverse roster we’ve ever seen, including Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin, Aaron Hernandez, and the Pouncey twins.
The team was known for their domination on the field, winning two National Championships, along with their troubles off the field as well.
With that being said, Netflix gave us the great news last month when they announced their third volume of their Untold series, which will feature Swamp Kings, a four episode series based on the ’06-’09 Florida Gators football team.
The documentary will feature first hand accounts of those years from Meyer, Tebow, Harvin, and many more.
As a die hard college football fan, I can’t wait, and it’s dropping on August 1st, just in time to hype us up for the 2023 football season.
And now, we have a trailer to go along with it.
The video kicks off with Meyer saying:
“At Florida Gator football, there’s no second-place trophies.”
The trailer then shows a bunch of on field, and behind the scenes clips from the ’06-’09 teams.
And right when the video closes out, Meyer says:
“This is going to be un-f*cking-believable.”
LET’S GET IT GOING.
