Oof. Yikes. Insert whatever synonym you like to use to explain uncomfortable, unfortunate situations here…
There’s a lot to unpack in this video. Just like every part of Taylor Swift’s current Eras Tour, every single second of this video is incredibly costly (in the figurative sense).
You have to feel for all of the fathers who had to both fork over the money for Swift’s astronomically expensive tickets and get dragged to a show where they are most likely playing the role of “chaperone” rather than “Swiftie.”
However, after this video, clearly the popular music that Swift is blasting through stadium speakers is nurturing the potential for a “Love Story” to play out between fathers unwillingly attending and mothers vicariously living through their daughters.
This TikTok (which could be an invasion of privacy) showcased an all-time text being sent by a father in the stands. The guy’s group message was “wilding” thanks to some of the questionable updates the man was providing to them.
The stereotypical “Dad vibes” were out in full force with this guy:
Typing on his phone with just one finger: Check.
Had glasses on to help him see the texts, yet was holding his phone at arms-length: Check.
Utilized the “bigger font” setting on his iPhone, which helped him see his phone, but also made it easier for these TikTokers behind him to capture this hilariously cringey conversation: Check, check and check.
Here’s the text that the guy was slowly (but surely) typing up throughout the video after he got a text from someone else about the over/under amount on drinks:
“Observing the HOT 40-year-old Mom’s who are dressed just like their 15-year-old daughters. The mom’s DEFINITELY look hot.”
Okay…
So that’s pretty weird to send, we’ll DEFINITELY put that out there. I’ll do my best to “Shake It Off” and get through the rest of this story, but I can’t help but feel that I knew “All Too Well” that fathers at Taylor Swift concerts have been sending texts like this about “Gorgeous” mothers all this time.
And I’m not sure who will get the worst “Karma” from this situation: the guy sending the gross text or the person taking a video of it from behind and putting it out there for all the world to see.
I do have to weirdly give the father props for his proper grammar usage (despite putting an unnecessary apostrophe in “moms”). At least he put dashes in between “40-year-old” and “15-year-old,” as you are supposed to do.
Text etiquette doesn’t usually require that kind of attention to detail, but who really cares about the “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve.” I would usually just fill the parts with the dashes with a “Blank Space” if I were texting.
If the wife of this guy ever finds out about this, I’m sure he’ll be in “Exile.” A text like that would definitely cause some “Bad Blood” in a marriage. I’m sure he would just say something like “Don’t Blame Me” if he did get caught.
But anyways, take a look at this video posted by a “Fearless” TikToker that will surely cause this oogling father to be “Haunted” if he’s ever identified:

By the way, as you’ve probably realized at this point, Taylor Swift song count in this article: 12.
I “Should’ve Said No” to my brain when I thought of the idea, but I chose to “Never Grow Up” a long time ago, so “This Is Me Trying” to be as mature as possible.
Total count just rocketed up to 15, but “It’s Time To Go” now…
