This has to be absolutely terrifying as a parent.
Morgan Wallen’s two year old son, Indigo, had to be rushed to the ER on Sunday after being attacked by his mother KT Smith’s, dog, Legend.
According to Page Six and Katie’s Instagram stories:
“Yesterday, he bit Indigo in the face, and he had to have stitches, and we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room.”
Morgan and Katie were previously engaged, and welcomed Indigo in July of 2020. They were not together at the time of his birth, and continue co-parent him as they are no longer a couple.
On her Instagram stories, KT also went on to say that she adopted the Great Pyrenees as a rescue in April of 2022.
KT also revealed that Indigo is doing well after the attack, though he did get several stitches in his face because of the bite.
She revealed that she was looking into options as to where she could send the dog, a she felt it was no longer safe to have him in the house with her young son, but didn’t want to send him to a shelter or put him down.
Last night, KT shared an update that she had found Legend a good home on a farm in East Tennessee, where he can run around and live happily with room to roam and they can still visit when they want to:
While I can’t imagine how scary it must’ve been seeing your child hurt like that, it’s great to hear that Indigo is on the mend, and that Legend has been re-homed to a good family.
Morgan Wallen’s ‘Dying Man’ Is Actually About His Son
As the title of the album suggests, One Thing At A Time, has to be digested in bits and pieces, so if you’re still taking time to listen and process, you’re not alone.
The massive 36-song album released last week and even listening to it all the way through a singular time takes some time. I mean, according to Morgan Wallen himself, the album summarizes two entire years of life, so we will probably be finding new things in this one for quite a while.
Some of the standout tracks on first listen come in the form of the album’s “bookends,” which include the tracks “Born With A Beer In My Hand” and “Dying Man” respectively.
The contrasting songs show the overall evolution Morgan experienced in the last couple of years and wanted to express in this album, and he used two of the best writes on the entire project to get the point across.
And if you’ve made it all the way to “Dying Man” already, the song seems focused on a female who saved the day, made the narrator feel worthwhile, and successfully changed his path from heading towards an early end.
The writers, Ben Johnson, Blake Pendergrass and Josh Thompson, managed to summarize Morgan’s revised outlook on life, and even used the likes of Elvis Presley and Hank Williams to solidify the narrator’s path in the chorus and main takeaway:
“Codeine, it got Elvis
Whiskey, it got Hank
Always thought somethin’ like that might send me on my way
But you took hold of me, like only a woman can
And gave one good reason to live to a set-on-dyin’ man.”
But even though the song paints a woman as the savior, in his global album release show in Nashville, Morgan opened “Dying Man” with a dedication to his two-year-old son, Indie:
“In ‘Dying Man,’ I’m singing to a woman. In real life, this song is dedicated to my son.
He has changed everything for me and has been a real blessing.”
In another interview, Morgan said a bit more concerning the song, sharing that he had been in several near-death situations, and it never really bothered him to think that his vices and decisions might kill him early in life.
But the birth of his son made him reconsider that notion:
“If I’m being completely honest there’s been more than a handful of times where I probably should’ve died. And for whatever reason, that never really bothered me.
But then my son was born, and I felt like the idea of dying didn’t seem so okay anymore. So this song is dedicated to him. In the song we’re talking about a women, but to me, it’s really about my son.”
Morgan also shared that Indie was present through a lot of the recording process, which made the album’s creation more special:
“Luckily I got to have him come in here and hang out with me quite a bit in this room. My producer is usually mixing and getting vocal takes and all that, but Indie took over a lot when he came in here pressing buttons!
We all enjoyed having him in here. Just a fresh energy and just a good time! I know it’s something I’ll never forget.”

Morgan Wallen Becomes First Country Artist To Have Three Songs In The Top 10 At The Same Time
Morgan Wallen just keeps setting records.
After releasing his latest album, One Thing At a Time, Morgan broke the record for the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by a single artist, with all 36 tracks making the chart.
The album also set the record for the largest streaming week in history for any country album, and was the most-streamed country album in a single day by a male country artist in Spotify history.
And now, he’s done something that’s never been done in the history of the Billboard Country Airplay chart: Earn three spots inside the top 10.
For this week’s chart, “Thought You Should Know” holds the #7 spot, “Last Night” is at #8 and “One Thing At a Time” is right below it at #9.
It’s the first time an artist has had three songs in the top 10 of the chart since it launched in January of 1990.
Looks like Morgan’s dominant run isn’t slowing down any time soon.
Morgan Wallen Takes Nasty Fall On Stage While Performing “Heartless,” Laughs It Off And Jumps Right Back Up
That looked like it hurt.
Morgan Wallen is currently out on the road for his sold-out One Thing At A Time world tour, and at a show in Louisville, Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center Thursday night, he took a pretty nasty fall.
TikTok user @natalyajaye_ shared an up-close video of him singing “Heartless” with tons of fog covering the stage, and as he walks closer towards crowd, trips on what looks like the fog machines or part of the stage lighting, and you can even hear him hit the floor as he falls:
@natalyajaye_ poor morgy fell into his own cloud of dust 😭🫶🏼 @couture.finessin #morganwallen #louisvilleky ♬ original sound – natalyajaye_
You also see Morgan jump right back up and laugh at off as he continues singing, hardly missing a beat in the process, and it looks like he wasn’t hurt at all (maybe slightly embarrassed, but I think that’s allowed when 22,000 people watch you take a tumble like that).
Here’s another angle further back:

I mean, when you’re performing on stage night after night like that, a fall is bound to happen eventually, and he’s certainly not the first artist to ever bust it on stage in front of a crowd, either.
All’s well that ends well, I guess, as the old saying goes…
And of course, “Heartless” is Morgan’s collab with EDM/pop producer Diplo, which was featured on Diplo’s first “country project” and album Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil.
