And the endless examples of “tourons” (moron tourists) continue.
I don’t know what they’re putting in the water at these National Parks, but I’m slowly starting to believe that whatever these tourists are drinking there is making them go nuts, because the amount of videos I’ve seen already in 2023 of people approaching wildlife is absurd.
Seriously, it’s almost like people are willing to get sent to the afterlife just so they get one cool picture for a drop of internet clout.
Maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit, but the proof is in the pudding, despite the fact that these National Parks make the message pretty clear: Stay at least 25 yards away from the wildlife.
And the worst thing you could possibly do is run up on a mother elk and her calf, because the mama is gonna be in full-on protection mode, and she’ll do everything in her power to make sure her baby is safe.
This scene all went down in Yellowstone National Park, near the Yellowstone Hotel.
In the video, two people allegedly approached a cow elk who had a calf nearby, all for a little Kodak moment.
Needless to say, the mama elk was not having it, and began charging towards the two approaching bystanders to chase them off.
Not gonna lie, this one is pretty funny, because the two tourists look like they’re running for their lives.
Let this be a fair warning that not only elk, but any creatures at National Parks do not want to be messed with, and at times they will retaliate.
At least nobody was injured.
