Patrick Mahomes is obviously one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now.
But he’s also got pretty good form when it comes to throwing back a cold one.
Luke Combs was in Kansas City last night for a stop at Arrowhead Stadium on his massive world tour. And of course there were some Kansas City Chiefs in the house to see Luke perform on their home field.
Before the show, opening act Flatland Cavalry posted a backstage photo with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes – who spent his college career at Texas Tech in their hometown of Lubbock.
And during Luke’s headlining set, he was joined by Mahomes onstage to shotgun a beer during “1, 2 Many.”
Obviously it’s hard to compete with Luke when it comes to shotgunning, but I’ve gotta say, Mahomes had some pretty good form and held his own against the country music shotgun champ.
And Mahomes isn’t the only Chiefs player who’s a country music fan. Last month ahead of the NFL Draft in Kansas City, Travis Kelce jumped on stage during a Lainey Wilson show to perform a hilariously amazing (and probably drunken) version of Josh Turner’s “Your Man.”

Them Chiefs boys seem like they’d be a great time to party with.
