Nature is a crazy place where the unexpected always seems to happen. This is what keeps people running out into it so they can have more. You have to be out there to see the crazy things that happen.
Polar bears are the largest land predators in the world. Adult males can measure up to 10 feet in length and weigh between 900 to 1,600 pounds. These white bears are able to withstand some of the harshest conditions on earth and do so well.
Walruses are massive seas creatures that live in the same area. The can be up to 12 feet long and weigh as much as 3,500 pounds. The grow massive tusks that can be 3 feet long that they use as tools to defend, mate and survive.
Walruses are a prey of polar bears. But, they are challenging to hunt because they are usually in large groups. They help each other out from predators so polar bears have to kill them quickly and sneak up. If not, the walruses may fight back and use their tusks as deadly weapons.
This polar bear is seen attacking a whole colony, hoping to get a meal. The polar bear is unable to take one out on the initial attack and winds up chases them all around.
Finally, the bear gets out pinned down and starts to have his way with it, but… a friend quickly comes over to the rescue. Using its sharp tusks, it pulls back and drives them straight into the side of polar bear.
Quickly, the polar bear loses its energy and walks off because something is wrong. It lays down and that is that.
The predator becomes the hunted. Nature always amazes.
