Larry Fleet Drops Studio Version Of New Blue Collar Anthem, “Layaway”

Larry Fleet country music

We all know by now that Larry Fleet is one of the best vocalists in all of country music at the moment.

But maybe just as impressive is his ability to deliver a great, relatable message within every song he sings.

From blue collar anthems, to life lessons growing up, and personal past experiences, there’s something within each and every one of his songs that somebody somewhere can take away for the greater good.

We’ve seen Fleet do this with past three singles in “Young Buck,” “Daddy Don’t Drink,” and “Try Texas.”

And now he’s back at it again with his latest studio single, “Layaway.”

The song was originally featured on his 2022 live album, Larry Fleet-The Live Sessions [Vol. 1], but up until now Fleet’s never released a studio version.

“Layaway” is a relatable anthem for blue-collar workers who save and put a little money away to give their kids what they want. And it perfectly reflects the principles of Fleet, as it’s all about hard work through a difficult time while trying to provide for your family.

Weighing in on the single, Fleet shared:

“When times get tough, the tough get to workin’ hard where I’m from. I worked construction for years before this dream started to take shape for me, and I know how much it takes sometimes to keep things afloat.

Sacrificing for your family is one of the most admirable things in the world to me, something I’ve seen my family and friends do for each other all my life. I wanted to pay tribute to that effort and dedication and write one for them.”

Needless to say, the song gives you a great perspective on tough times, and doing what you can to provide for the ones you love.
