Man oh man fellas… better start making that money.
Many of us guys have all been there before… we go out on a date with a woman who has a bit of an upscale taste, and then they ask you what you do for a living…
And if she can tell off the bat you ain’t making enough money for her liking, it’s sayonara. Gone forever.
Of course financial security is important, and guys have their own list of things they’re looking for in a woman, but I think expectations are starting to go beyond this reality.
The TikTok account @whatif2050 sat down a handful of single women, and asked them what kind of income qualifies for their husband material…
And boy, the answers were OUTRAGEOUS.
Let’s just go ahead and list them:
“$300,000”
“$127,000”
Oddly specific…
“$150,000 to $250,000”
“$500,000”
“$650,000”
$650,000??? I’ll tell you right now, this woman is gonna be looking for a husband for a hot minute. Imagine telling her you make $500,000 a year, and she’s like:
“Ah, not enough. Goodbye.”
You simply can’t win unless you grew up in the Hamptons, or sold your first tech startup when you were 16 years old.
However, the person asking the question then hits them with some harsh reality when she reveals what the average income for a 30-year old is…
And it’s $45,000 a year.
Needless to say, the look on their faces is complete shock. Maybe that’s when reality finally hits them that this is the reason why they are still single… also, let’s not forget that a man making that kind of money is going to want a certain caliber of wife in return… better hope they’re bringing a lot to the table as well.
