Happy Tuesday, y’all.

Today for the Song of the Week, we have a new tune from Hannah Dasher called “Ugly Houses,” which was written by Hannah along with Robert Arthur.

It’s an extremely personal and vulnerable tune that finds Hannah praying to God for help cleaning up her own imperfections, something I think all of us can probably relate to more than we’d really like to admit.

She says that it felt like an important message to share with the world, because of how real and honest in terms of her own life:

“‘Ugly Houses’ is the most vulnerable song I’ve ever released. God’s been humbling me the past two years, doing a major renovation.

Felt like I needed to share it with the world — especially during times like now.

Whether listeners are believers or not, I hope this song leaves ’em in a better place than it found ‘em.”

And if you’re unfamiliar with her music yet, you may have seen Hannah over on TikTok before with her awesome and funny “Stand By Your Pan” cooking videos.

She released her major-label debut EP The Half Record back in 2021, and more recently, she put out singles like “Tall Boy” and “Cryin’ All the Way to the Bank.”

Hannah certainly has her own very distinctive, unique style and the music to match it, and I love her strong personality and how authentic she is to herself and her songs.

If you haven’t heard this one yet, I already know you’re gonna love it:
