Now this is cool.

Ashley McBryde is teaming up with hard-rock/heavy metal band Halestorm for a reimagined version of their song “Terrible Things,” which was featured on their 2022 studio album Back from the Dead.

Written by badass frontwoman Lzzy Hale along with Zac Malloy and Scott Stevens, the tune was featured with Lzzy’s solo vocals on the initial project last year, and now, we get to hear Ashley in the mix on it too.

Lzzy Hale is the longtime lead singer and guitarist for Halestorm, the band she co-founded with her brother Arejay Hale in 1997.

She is a one helluva musician herself, and has been for more than 25 years now, and of course, we’re all massive Ashley McBryde fans here, who is a total rockstar in her own right.

Ashley’s one of the best mainstream artists in the game right now, but a lot of her music does a little bit of a rock and roll edge to it, so I think these two are a natural fit and make an absolutely awesome duo.

They announced in a joint post on Instagram earlier that the song and an accompanying music video will be out everywhere this Wednesday, May 24th:

“‘Terrible Things feat. Ashley McBryde.’ Song & video out May 24th.”

And if there’s one thing for certain about this little project, I already know it’s gonna totally rock, and I can’t wait to hear it…

This isn’t the first time Lzzy hale has collaborated with a country artist, either, as she teamed up with Eric Church for a performance of “That’s Damn Rock and Roll” at the 2014 CMT Awards… and it will melt your damn face off:
