Annoyed Bull Elk Nearly Ruins Mans Day Just As He Slips Into His Van

Elk attack

It just doesn’t stop.

There are so many videos of tourists putting themselves in harm’s way just for an old cellphone picture. If you have to get super close in a park to get a good photo, you are not a nature photographer and should just leave it to the pros.

Elk are one of the largest species of deer in the world with bulls weighing up to 1000 pounds and standing up to 5 feet tall at the shoulder. These massive creatures have long and powerful legs and can run up to 35 miles per hour.

Elk are known for their massive antlers, which can grow up to 6 feet in length and weigh up to 40 pounds. Antlers are grown by males only and are used for dominance displays during mating season, as well as for defense against predators.

While elk are generally not aggressive towards humans, they can be dangerous if provoked or threatened. During mating season, known as the rut, bull elk become aggressive and may charge at humans who enter their territory. Cow elk may also become aggressive if they feel their young are in danger.

Tourists can’t help themselves though.

This massive bull elk is seen minding his own business trying to graze on some grass. A crowd forms close by to watch him.

The bull moves in closer, and no one moves, so he decides to run right to them. The elk charges towards a man, who slips into his van and gets the door shut just seconds before he gets there. The elk holds off, even though it wants to ram the van.

They got off easy… stay clear of these massive creatures.
