This is one of those videos that shows the true nature of nature… it’s one tough go at ‘er out there. Every day of a moose’s life, and many other animals, is a fight to get food, breed, and survive from predators. Not to mention, disease, traffic, climate… there’s a lot of things that can go wrong out there.
Since the beginning of time, there’s certainly been a fights over ladies and there always will be. A trait that humans and moose both share, but we don’t have a massive rack of paddle-like antlers sticking out of our heads to fight with, nor do we weigh 1,500 pounds.
Moose fights are one of the coolest things to watch, but sometimes, these battles don’t end well. It’s sad to see, but it’s just part of what goes on out there. Deer get locked together, bears will fight to the death sometimes, nature is just a cruel beast.
These two mature bull moose are seen out in a field. It’s clearly the end of the battle as one of the moose is on the ground as the other bull is ramming into him as he lays ribs exposed… basically defenseless. The bull is going right at its chest, and the one on the ground flails around a bit as the attacker keeps a strong push on.
There’s no way that moose got out of this alive taking blows straight to the chest from those paddles. You don’t see the whole fight but it’s enough to show how cruel it can be out there, especially during the rut, when these bulls are battling to mate.
These are some tough animals… but tough doesn’t always survive.
Two Bull Moose Land In Truck Bed Fighting In Colorado Driveway
This is dangerously close.
A guy by the name of Jon Wade posted a video to Facebook, of two massive bull moose having a battle to the death in his neighbor’s yard in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It’s mating season for moose, which means they’re looking for their mate, and they’re willing to fight off any other competition that may try to take their mate away from them.
These two big boys were smacking paddles in, and at one point in the video, it appears one of the bulls knocks down the other down into the driveway, making an extremely loud noise. They took off a side mirror in the process.
It’s pretty civil for a minute, but shit really starts to hit the fan when they make their way over to Wade’s neighbor’s Toyota Tacoma, and the fight ends up landing in the bed of the truck, and they continue to fight like there’s no tomorrow.
It appears that there was no serious damage done to the truck, but it’s hard to tell from the distance the video was taken from. Insurance company is never gonna believe this one…
