Whenever I think of the list of celebrities I’d love to play a round of golf with, John Daly is at the top of it every time.
I mean c’mon, the two time major champion on the PGA Tour is an absolute party animal, who used to slam 35-40 beers in a day and THEN go to the liquor, and not to mention, the guy is a Hooters fanatic, and even hangs out there all week during Masters week in Augusta, Georgia.
Not to mention, he’s a big time country music fan as well, and has even released two albums.
Yep, playing a round of golf with the guy would be absolutely legendary, and it might be because he’s just a normal guy who just so happens to be insanely good at golf, making him one of the most beloved personalities in all of pro golf.
With that being said, if we ever needed another example of Daly being “just one of us,” here it is.
The man made an appearance at Tracy Lawrence’s Mission: Possible celebrity golf tournament at Old Hickory Country Club near Nashville, Tennessee on Monday.
After the round, it looks like Daly and some other people playing had a few side bets going on, as you can see a video of the man in a t-shirt and athletic shorts, absolutely shanking a golf shot.
And what does he do next?
He chucks the golf club several yards down the fairway, and proceeds to say:
“Piece of sh*t… f*cking piece of sh*t.”
Of course, I can’t say for certain, but my guy was probably several drinks deep at this point and was probably seeing about five different golf balls at once before he hit the shot, so props to him for even making contact.
Never change, John. Never change.
