Now I’m ready to hit the honky tonk…
Randall King announced over on Instagram that he has a new song dropping this Friday, May 5th called “When My Baby’s In Boots,” and it has that classic country sound we all know and love from him as he sings about hittin’ the town with his lady:
“When my baby’s in boots,
She wants to head downtown,
Find her some whiskey to shoot,
Get down in a honky tonky crowd
She loves to cut footloose…”
He shared a studio teaser of the song several days ago, and I already love the sound of this one:
Of course, I’m always partial to a little acoustic version too:
“Y’all don’t forget to pre-save ‘When My Baby’s In Boots’! It’ll be available everywhere this Friday. Stoked for this one!”
Randall most recently put out “Green Eyes Blue” in March, and released his major label debut album Shot Glass early last year, so hopefully, all these singles might wind up on another record sometime soon…
