This celebration for Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday just keeps getting bigger.
And very deservedly so… you have to do it right for such a milestone birthday for one of country music’s most recognizable and important icons.
He will host his 90th birthday celebration in the form of a two-day concert this weekend dubbed: Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90, A Star-Studded Concert Celebrating Willie’s 90th Birthday, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 29th (his actual birthday) and 30th, 2023, at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.
“I can’t think of a better way to spend my 90th birthday than being surrounded by family, friends and of course the fans who made this all possible.
It’s an honor to perform with such an incredible group of artists at such an iconic venue.”
And the lineup is already phenomenal, which includes the likes of Willie Nelson himself, Billy Strings, Bobby Weir, Charley Crockett, Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, Leon Bridges, Lukas Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Neil Young, Norah Jones, Orville Peck, Particle Kid, Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, Tyler Childers, Ziggy Marley, and many, many more.
But today, a few other top tier artists were added to lineup, including The King himself Mr. George Strait, as well as Booker T. Jones, Buddy Cannon, Daniel Lanois, Dave Matthews, Dwight Yoakam, Jamey Johnson, Emmylou Harris, Gary Clark Jr., Jack Johnson, Kris Kristofferson, Lily Meola, Rodney Crowell, Shooter Jennings, Stephen Stills and Waylon Payne will be among the incredible lineup of artists performing now, as well.
It goes without saying, but if you’re lucky enough to attend the star-studded event in-person, it will absolutely be a once-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable weekend, to say the least.
