You LOVE to see it.

This past weekend, Lainey Wilson scored her fourth career #1 single with “wait in the truck,” which she was featured on with her friend Hardy and was included on his the mockingbird & THE CROW album earlier this year.

And at the beginning of April, Lainey scored her third career #1 with “Heart Like A Truck,” which was featured on her 2022 studio album Bell Bottom Country.

Needless to say, the Louisiana native is absolutely at the top of her game right now, and in fact, her consecutive #1’s so close together broke a record previously set by Crystal Gayle in 1983, when she scored back-to-back #1’s within eight weeks.

Lainey’s two chart-topping hits came within three weeks of each other, which is a first for a female on country radio:

Lainey is such a gem, and it’s so refreshing to have such an authentic, talented country artist cranking out hits like she has been over the last year or so.

Her star has only continued to rise with her role on the hit Paramount series Yellowstone, where she plays a musician named Abby, and of course, her butt went mega viral all over the internet earlier this year, too, and she handled that with an impressive amount of grace and class.

We’ll see which song she picks to send to country radio next, but who knows, she might be breaking her own new record here soon…

I’d love to see “Smell Like Smoke” get a chance, as she also recently submitted it for Emmy consideration, but honestly, she can’t go wrong with any of the options from her aforementioned record.

Here’s to many, many more #1’s in Lainey’s future…
