Even if you’re sick of all the artist bars that have popped up on Broadway in downtown Nashville over the past few years, I think this one might get your attention.

According to a report from the Nashville Post, a new Hank Williams Jr.-themed bar and entertainment venue is in the works for the space located at 419 Broadway, located between the Ernest Tubb Record Shop and AJ’s Good Time Bar, owned by Alan Jackson.

The Nashville Post reports that the venue will reportedly be called the Hank Williams Jr. Boogie Bar, and is being developed by Big Plan Holdings, the investment company behind ventures like Nashville’s Edgehill Publishing and the upcoming Jon Bon Jovi bar currently in the works for downtown Nashville.

Permits filed for the new Bocephus space show that the building, which currently houses Nashville Crossroads, will receive an additional floor and a rooftop bar (because of course it will), and will clock in at just under 12,000 square feet, with 3 levels of live music in the venue.

There’s no word yet on an opening date for the new venue, or even an official announcement confirming it. So we’ll just have to keep an eye out for further updates.

But either way, you know this one will at least be better than Luke Bryan’s rooftop sushi bar…
