VIDEO: Former ‘The Voice’ Finalist Ian Flanigan Is Back With Gritty, Acoustic “Devil In My Hands”

Ian Flanigan country music

Really digging the southern rock vibe on this one.

If you’re not familiar with Ian Flanigan, you may remember him from Team Blake on season 19 of The Voice, where he made it to the finals with kickass performances of songs like his blind audition version of Zac Brown Band’s “Colder Weather” and his finale performance of Jamey Johnson’s “In Color.”

Ian dropped his debut album Strong back in 2022, featuring a duet with his mentor from The Voice Blake Shelton. And one of the standout tracks from the album was the bluesy, reflective “Devil In My Hands.”

“Yes I know my soul is clean
Got the angels watching over me
I got to be a better man
Listen to the angel
And not the devil in my hands”

And now, we have the exclusive premiere of Ian’s gritty, acoustic performance of the killer track, filmed in the historic Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Speaking about the song and this performance, Ian told Whiskey Riff:

“‘Devil In My Hands’ is a song I wrote about my early years of sobriety, and the time I spent in Georgia. One of my favorites to play live and we captured that feeling in this acoustic version down in Muscle Shoals, at Noble Steed Studios.”

Ian’s voice really shines though on this incredibly personal song.

I think you’ll dig it as much as I do.
