Luke Combs knows better than anybody… when it rains, it pours.
The North Carolina native actually has a Living Lucky with Luke Combs lottery ticket, which you can find in several different states throughout the country.
Of course, the idea was inspired by Luke’s #1 hit single and certified 3× Platinum song “When It Rains It Pours,” which was included on his 2017 This One’s For You album.
And one fan in particular got quite lucky a few days ago with Luke’s ticket…
A New York man named Terrance Pertillar was helping his friend move to Henderson, North Carolina, when they stopped for gas and he saw the ticket with Luke’s face on it behind the counter.
Terrance told the Raleigh News and Observer he’s a fan of Luke, so he bought it on a whim, thinking nothing of the $5 ticket and obviously never expecting to win a whopping $200,000 like he did:
“I’m a fan of Luke Combs. I saw his ticket so I bought it.”
He called it a “once-in-a-blue-moon” ticket, which he fittingly purchased at the Granville Food Mart in Oxford, North Carolina.
Terrance took home $142,501 after taxes, adding that it didn’t really feel real:
“I was like, ‘Wow, is this real?'”
Yep, he won a helluva lot more than “a hundred bucks on a scratch-off ticket…”
