Drunk Or Just Stupid? Tourist Tries To Play Matador With A Bison, Almost Gets The Horns

Bison taunt

Lets admit it, many of us have done some stupid things while hammered drunk.

When you’re a few too many deep, you tend to make a few illogical decisions…

But this alcohol-induced decision right here almost sent my guy into the afterlife.

We’ve seen it time and time again… tourists treating the wildlife at national parks like they’re at a petting zoo, and here’s yet another horrid example.

In the footage, you can see a guy coming face to face with a bison that was standing on the side of the highway in Yellowstone National Park.

Just judging by his lethargic movements, he had to be under the influence of something, unless he’s just clinically insane. You can see the dude approach the bison, and the creature is immediately not thrilled with his presence, and it charges directly towards him as a warning.

But nah, this guy was trying to be a matador, and see just how close he could get to the brink of death.

The bison charges him again, and it looks like the creature may have gotten a piece of him before he finally waves the white flag.

And, according to NBC News, the man went to jail for the harassment of a wild animal.

Oregon man Raymond Reinke was sentenced to 130 days in jail for drunkenly harassing a bison that had stopped traffic on a Yellowstone National Park roadway.

And here’s the kicker… he justified his drunken behavior by claiming that he and a buddy were on a road trip to celebrate “one last hurrah” before he entered an alcohol treatment program.

Really went out with a bang, eh?

After his 15 minutes of fame from the viral video was up, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail for harassing wildlife, 60 days for interfering with law enforcement and 10 days for disorderly conduct. He was given credit for 21 days served.

Unreal…

He was also banned from Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Glacier national parks for a five-year probationary period during which he is not allowed to drink alcohol.

Reinke reportedly told the judge”

“I’m sorry to the buffalo. He didn’t deserve what I did to him.”

The judge replied:

“You’re lucky the bison didn’t take care of it, and you’re standing in front of me.”

So, for all of y’all out there… don’t be this guy.
