Almost exactly a year ago, we lost a country music icon when Naomi Judd passed away by suicide at the age of 76 on April 30th, 2022.

The news shook the country music world to its core, and it still does to this day.

Wynonna Judd is ready to pay tribute to her late mother, as Paramount+ has officially announced WYNONNA JUDD: BETWEEN HELL AND HALLELUJAH.

According to CMT, the feature-length documentary will follow Wynonna navigating her life after the loss of her mother, and is slated to premiere on Paramount+ on Wednesday, April 26th.

Wynonna said in a statement:

“It’s real, and it’s raw. It’s celebration and sadness. It’s all of the people who I leaned on during one of the toughest seasons of my life.

I wanted the opportunity to tell my story in my voice. If doing so helps one person out there choose life, then I am grateful.”

The documentary will also follow Wynonna throughout the last Judds tour, dubbed The Judds: The Final Tour, both on stage and behind the scenes, and will feature anecdotes from her friends and tourmates Ashley McBryde, Brandi Carlile, Faith Hill, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Martina McBride, and Trisha Yearwood.

Then on April 29, CMT will air Love Is Alive: The Final Concert, a recreation of The Judds 1991 farewell show that was taped in Murfreesboro, Tennessee late last year.

Buckle up.
