Incase you haven’t heard, the ACM Awards are rolling back around on May 11th, and the nominees are officially in.
We have a few highlights, as Morgan Wallen has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year for the first time, Megan Moroney, Caitlyn Smith, Morgan Wade, and Hailey Whitters are all up for New Female Artist of the Year to make arguably the most impressive list in the whole ceremony, and Zach Bryan is making his big time country music awards show debut, as he’s up for New Male Artist of the Year.
And of course, when you have award ceremonies and the nominees are in, there’s gonna be a few artists who fans believe should’ve made the cut.
With that being said, we have one artist who shockingly didn’t make the list for Female Artist of the Year…
And it’s Carrie Underwood.
This year’s nominees include Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, and Lainey Wilson, but Carrie didn’t make the cut.
However, she is up for Entertainer of the Year, alongside Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen so it’s kind of hard to fathom how you can be an Entertainer of the Year, but not an artist of the year. I mean, does that make any sense? Then again, are we expecting the ACMs to make sense?
And not to take anything away from the other nominees, but Underwood released an album last year, Denim & Rhinestones, had a massive tour, Las Vegas residency… what more can she do?
But regardless of the reason, Carrie Underwood fans are PISSED, and they weren’t afraid to express their feelings on Twitter either:
