Yep, this is my worst nightmare lived out in real life.
If you come face to face with a bear out in the woods, what are you gonna do?
You can’t out run it, and you can’t climb up a tree because bears are skilled at climbing trees as well, so it’s either you hope the bear gives up on trying to get a piece of you, or you just accept your fate and hit the armadillo position immediately.
This is the exact scenario this man found himself in… well, sorta.
In this video that’s going viral on the internet, you can see a man who looks like he’s trying to run from a bear hot on his heels…
And he picked a tree.
You can see the guy scaling the tree as the bear follows closely behind. The bear then proceeds to start climbing up the tree after him, and that’s when the guy immediately realizes there’s nowhere he can run.
Luckily enough for the guy, the bear gives up and jumps off the tree.
Of course, the bear doesn’t appear to be hostile or anything, in fact, it looks like a pet of some kind (Russia?) as it has a collar. But when you’re dealing with bears, you never really know what’s going to happen.
